I am fortunate to have two wonderful jobs: I am the Webmaster, helping the Teachers to better spread the word about the wonderful place that is The Capitol School, and I am an Information Security Analyst for the University of Alabama.

I am an IT/Computer Professional with over 16 years of experience in Systems/Network Administration, Project Management, Messaging/Groupware Administration, Security Analysis, Solutions Consulting & IT Business Analysis.

Before joining the University’s Office of Information Technology, I have worked in the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Consultancy industries. While consulting, I have experienced additional industries: Energy, Finance, & Governmental.

We have three sons – Teddy, Forest, and River, and a daughter, Mitchelle, attending The Capitol School.

Though my prime hobby is computers, I’m also taking after my Grandfather by gardening. In my spare time not playing in the dirt or with a computer, I enjoy playing frisbee and the Wii with my wife and kids, as well as writing science fiction.

Last November, along with thousands of others, I attempted to complete the NaNoWriMo challenge (National Novel Writing Month – nanowrimo.org) where the goal is to start a new story on the first and by the first of December, write at least 50,000 words. I DID IT!
