Last year, schools were assigned an academic status of clear, watch or priority only. Beginning this year, the same criteria also are applied to subgroups of students to give schools one of seven classifications. Subgroups include students with disabilities, students with limited English proficiency, students eligible for free or reduced lunches and major racial/ethnic groups.

Clear — the average score of all students met the standards for clear status, and all applicable sub-groups have an academic clear status
Clear with Watch — the average score of all students met the standards for clear status, but one or more subgroups have an academic watch status
Clear with Priority — the average score of all students met the standards for clear status, but one or more subgroups have an academic status of watch of priority
Clear with Watch and Priority — the average score of all students met the standards for clear status, but two or more subgroups have an academic status of watch and priority
Watch — the average score of all students placed them in the watch category
Watch with Priority — the average score of all students placed them in the watch category, and one or more subgroups has an academic status of priority
Priority — the average score for all students placed them in the priority category, regardless of the status of the subgroups
