Our view of education supports the Multiple Intelligences of the human mind. These areas are: Verbal/Linguistic Intelligence, Musical Intelligence, Logical/Mathematical Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Spatial Intelligence, Bodily/Kinesthetic Intelligence and Naturalist Intelligence.

The Capitol Foundation is a nonprofit and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Alabama Nonprofit Corporation Act for educational purposes. The Foundation has no employees but works with a Board of five members who volunteer their time. The Articles of Incorporation were filed in Tuscaloosa County in March, 1995. The Capitol Foundation was approved as a 501 (c) (3) by the IRS
Over the past 18 years, our Foundation has funded scholarships to The University of Alabama, Stillman College, Shelton State Community College, Jacksonville State University, University of North Alabama, University of West Alabama and The Capitol School, Alabama's International School.

The Foundation has also supplied financial support to many community agencies such as: Salvation Army, American Red Cross, Y.M.C.A., West Alabama AIDS Outreach, Turning Point, Tuscaloosa Childrens' Theatre, Theatre Tuscaloosa, Arts Council of Tuscaloosa, P.A.R.A., Center for Digital Literacies, Children's International Library, and Alabama Choir School.
