R.V. Parking for the 2011 Football Season

Location:
Adjacent to historic Capitol Park at 2828 Sixth Street located at the end of University Blvd. in downtown Tuscaloosa Our parking lot is the beginning of the “River Walk” that extends along the Black Warrior River to the campus of The University of Alabama.

Points:
A – Capitol School / Capitol Park
Asphalt and Grass Parking lots

B – Intermodal Bus Stop (6 blocks)
($1 per person with all trolleys directly to the Stadium starting 3 hours before game time)

C – Bryant-Denny Stadium

Cost:
$700 for RV for a season pass with no charge for towed vehicle
$150 for single game pass with no charge for towed vehicle

Purpose:
All profits from this fund-raiser will be used for The Capitol School Library.

Times:
Arrive as early as 9:00 a.m. the day before the game.
Depart as late as 5:00 p.m. the day after the game.

Types of spaces:
There are 6 spaces available on an asphalt parking lot and 8 spaces on a grass lot across the street. Owners of RVs in groups of two or more may reserve adjacent camping spaces. Choose one member of the group to serve as Coordinator who can email us all the names of persons in the group and the size of the RV. Sixth Street is a dead-end street that ends at our block. A large recycling trailer is parked across the road by the railroad trestle. All RVs must be self-contained as hook-ups are not available. Water is available nearby. If you plan to operate a generator, please use an exhaust stack that extends above the RV. Spikes or stakes cannot be driven into the parking lot.

Size of spaces:
Sizes of spaces vary to accommodate 20’ x 40” up to 45’. All tents and awnings must fit within the spaces provided and not intrude on other camp sites.

Applications and Payment:
Please print out this application, complete it and mail it to the school. Full payment must be included to The Capitol School P.T.A. Campers must also read, sign, and submit the Release Liability Form upon arrival at the camp site. This form must be completed for each game. Please complete the information for all persons who will join you at the camp site. It must be signed by all family members and guests staying with the RV.
