Description: Grab your apron and passport and come travel the world with us as we take on delicious desserts from around the globe! This class will not only focus on the science and mathematics that accompany baking, but we will also explore the geography and culture of the countries that we visit in our baking endeavors. The recipes we will make will range from easy to very difficult; however, prior baking experience is not a requirement. This class will be a lot of fun as well as having the benefit of bringing home yummy desserts for your family to enjoy.
Teacher Bio: Mrs. Sanders is in her second year of teaching at The Capitol School. She was a lead teacher for the 5-7 year old cluster during the 2018-2019 school year. She is currently the technology teacher and After School Director. Mrs. Sanders graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010 with her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She received her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama in August 2019. Mrs. Sanders is from Tuscaloosa and graduated from Central High School. Mrs. Sanders uses her humor and various talents to make learning an enjoyable, lifelong desire for all her students.
Please fill out all information for each child's first registration. For additional registrations, you only have to complete the required information.
Note: This cost is for the registration fee and additional materials fee only. You must pay the balance of the total camp cost by the first day of camp. Information will be provided in your receipt or you can pay here: SE2020 Summer Camp Balance. You should also receive an email a week prior to the start of camp with payment information. You may also pay in the office.
