Description: Build a catapult to test your aim, drop an egg from 10 feet and cross your fingers that it does not break. Come and see if a piece of paper standing on edge can hold a heavy book in Design-Build-Test summer exploration. Students will design, build, and test various contraptions over the course of two weeks.
Teacher Bio: Mrs. Richardson is the math teacher for the Capitol School's upper school. She graduated from Mississippi State University (MSU) with a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering. During most of her time at MSU, Mrs Richardson tutored math, and was an undergraduate teaching assistant for some of the freshmen aerospace engineering classes. She is currently working on getting her master's degree in mathematics with plans to finish in August 2021.
Please fill out all information for each child's first registration. For additional registrations, you only have to complete the required information.
Note: This cost is for the registration fee and additional materials fee only. You must pay the balance of the total camp cost by the first day of camp. Information will be provided in your receipt or you can pay here: SE2020 Summer Camp Balance. You should also receive an email a week prior to the start of camp with payment information. You may also pay in the office.
