Session 1 AM: Oceanography
Session 1 AM: May 28 - June 7
Age / grade level: 2nd-3rd
Teacher: Mrs. Lauren Amundson, B.S., M.S.
Description: Want to be an Oceanographer? Join us while we navigate through the many wonders under the sea. We will learn about the work of an oceanographer and how they do what they do, and why they do it. We will also be observing various items correlated with the ocean such as: sea shells, fossils, corals, etc. We will also make imprints of our own ocean-life! Geography will be a large content area we will touch on during this session. I want the children to gain knowledge, but I also want their knowledge to continue to grow (through curiosity) as they explore their findings and learn about the ocean.
Teacher Bio: Mrs. Lauren White Amundson is a Tuscaloosa native. She graduated from the University of Alabama in May of 2013 with a B.S. in Elementary Education.
