Superhero STEAM- Mrs. Courtney Sanders, B.S., M.S.
Do you love superheroes? This class will take a look into the world of superheroes with the added excitement of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. From growing our own kryptonite crystals to building an invisible plane out of everyday items, this class will explore the powers of superheroes in an all new way. Each day will include literature, writing, and an experiment or project. Please note that we will use iPads and computers with our learning.
Teacher Bio: Mrs.Courtney Sanders is the Technology Expert Teacher and the Science Teacher for the Upper School at The Capitol School. Mrs. Sanders is a native of Tuscaloosa and attended Tuscaloosa City Schools. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and the University of West Alabama with a Masters of Education. Previously, she taught preschool and also first grade in the Shelby County School District. Mrs. Sanders’ goal is to provide a child-centered environment where every child can succeed.
Please fill out all information for each child's first registration. For additional registrations, you only have to complete the required information.
Note: This cost is for the registration fee only. You must pay the balance of the total camp cost by the first day of camp. Information will be provided in your receipt or you can pay here: SE2021 Summer Camp Balance. You should also receive an email a week prior to the start of camp with payment information. You may also pay in the office.
