Grab your apron and passport and come travel the world with us as we take on delicious desserts from around the globe! This class will not only focus on the science and mathematics that accompany baking, but we will also explore the geography and culture of the countries that we visit in our baking endeavors. The recipes we will make will range from easy to very difficult; however, prior baking experience is not a requirement. This class will be a lot of fun as well as having the benefit of bringing home yummy desserts for your family to enjoy.
Teacher Bio: Mrs.Courtney Sanders is the Technology Expert Teacher and the Science Teacher for the Upper School at The Capitol School. Mrs. Sanders is a native of Tuscaloosa and attended Tuscaloosa City Schools. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and the University of West Alabama with a Masters of Education. Previously, she taught preschool and also first grade in the Shelby County School District. Mrs. Sanders’ goal is to provide a child-centered environment where every child can succeed.
Please fill out all information for each child's first registration. For additional registrations, you only have to complete the required information.
Note: This cost is for the registration fee only. You must pay the balance of the total camp cost by the first day of camp. Information will be provided in your receipt or you can pay here: SE2021 Summer Camp Balance. You should also receive an email a week prior to the start of camp with payment information. You may also pay in the office.
